Augusto is an EDA developer with two years of professional experience and eight years of academic research. He earned his degree in Computer Engineering from FURG in 2018, an MSc in Microelectronics from UFRGS in 2020, and a PhD in Computer Science from UFSC in 2024. He is a developer for the OpenROAD Project, focusing on the Global Placement stage. His previous research in the field also includes projects on logic synthesis, machine learning applications, and routing congestion prediction with GNNs.
