Accepted as 2025 GSoC Mentor Organiztion

Excited to once again be working with such an amazing program.

We are excited to have once again been selected as a Google Summer of Code Mentor Organization. The 2025 Open Source Research Experience (and with it the 2024 Summer of Reproducibility ) will once again benefit from GSOC’s world-wide outreach and generous funding of contributors. We are now listed among 185 selected mentor organizations. See our organization page) on the GSoC 2025 site.

Since 2018, the we have successfully mentored over 50 GSoC supported contributors and look forward to working with more contributors this year! We are also excited to welcome back numerous former GSoC contributors joining us as 2025 GSoC mentors - Kiran Deol and Jack Luar.

Interested students should check out our projects for proposal ideas from our mentors. As an umbrella organization supporting many academic open source endeavors, our projects cover a wide range of topics including:

  • Bioinformatics
  • Educational Technologies
  • Visualization
  • Storage systems
  • High Performance Computing

Students are encouraged to reach out to our mentors during the proposals stage. See our student information section for information related to the proposal process.
